Service Technician

Summary

Serves customers in the field and in-house by installing and servicing systems and products.

Responsibilities

  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints, conducting tests, resolving problems, and, if necessary, planning daily travel schedules;
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements, gathering components and parts, completing repairs, completing installations, and performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints and identifying solutions.
  • Suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements to management.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential and following HIPAA requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Education/Experience/Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No previous experience is required

Pay:

Salary: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Travel Bonus: avg. $16,000 per year

Per Diem: avg. $13,500 per year

Total average compensation: $71,000 per year
